Martin Luther Church (Tralau)

The Evangelical Lutheran Martin Luther Church , built in 1961, is a modern church in the Tralau district in the Schleswig-Holstein community of Travenbrück . The gatehouse adjoining the church reminds of the grown unity of manor house and church.

history

Count and Countess Kerssenbrock donated land to the community on which today's cemetery and the church were built. The church was consecrated on September 17, 1961 by Bishop Wilhelm Halfmann and was only given its name Martin Luther Church in 1986 for its 25th anniversary. It offers seating for 120 people.

Furnishing

The baroque altarpiece from 1690 comes from a chapel in the garden of the Tralau estate , which was mentioned in a document as early as 1374.
