Martin Auinger

Martin Auinger (* 1967 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian author .

Martin Auinger wrote his first story "Peter's Adventure" at the age of 9, which was published by his teacher at the time. At the age of 15 he made his first public appearances with his own lyrics and songs. As a "young writer" he made a name for himself in Wiener Neustadt, played in various theater groups and founded his own children's theater in 1995 with the programmatic title "Die MÄRCHEN-BASTEL-STUBE", with which he toured the country for more than 10 years. More than 10 theater productions and 600 appearances followed from 1995 to 2007. Since 2006 he has been working as a disabled person.

Prizes and awards

  • In 1996 he received a prize from the Graz Academy for his cabaret work: "Der Traum vom Lotto6er"
  • In 2002 he was awarded the City of Wiener Neustadt's Culture Prize.
