Martin Deschamps

Martin Deschamps (born June 23, 1970 in Quebec ) is a Canadian rock singer .

life and career

Deschamps was born with malformations of all four limbs , missing his left forearm and right leg, and only two fingers on his right hand. When he was 9 years old, he moved to Rawdon with his family . Despite his anomalies, he was not ostracized at school. At the age of 11 Deschamps learned to play drums , at the age of 15 he played and sang on the electric bass . He worked as a graphic designer at Bell for 6 years .

Deschamps' career began in 1996 when he took part in a music competition on Canadian television with his own band Deep Freeze and was named best singer. He was then invited to replace the lead singer Gerry Boulet, who had died in the meantime , at the reunification of the Offenbach blues rock group . In 2003 he released his third solo album Lé Desert . Martin Deschamps is an active member of the Offenbach band .
