Martin E. Franklin

Martin Ellis Franklin (born October 31, 1964 in London , England) is an American investor activist .

His father, Roland Franklin, was a follower of British investor James Goldsmith . At the age of 24, Martin E. Franklin broke up his first company, the Dickinson Robinson Group (DRG), a British stationery and packaging manufacturer. In 2001 he acquired 10% of Alltrista’s shares and became CEO of the company, which he restructured and renamed Jarden Corporation .

Franklin has founded investment vehicles several times . Together with Nicolas Berggruen , he founded the later Platform Specialty Products in 2013 ; Together with Noam Gottesman , he took over the frozen food company Iglo Group in 2015 through Nomad Holdings (now Nomad Foods ) .
