Nomad Foods , based in Road Town on the British Virgin Island of Tortola, is an international food company that became known through the takeover of the British Iglo Group . In addition to Iglo, the company's brands also include Findus and Birds Eye. Around 83 percent of sales are achieved in the six most important markets for the company: the United Kingdom , Italy , Germany , Sweden , France and Norway .

history

Nomad Foods was founded on April 1, 2014 by Noam Gottesman and Martin E. Franklin as Nomad Holdings and listed on the London Stock Exchange as an empty corporate shell. On April 20, 2015 it was announced that Nomad Holdings is buying the British Iglo Group from Feltham , which is best known for frozen products , for 2.6 billion euros from the financial investor Permira . After the takeover, Permira is to acquire a 9 percent stake in the new company Nomad Foods. On June 1, 2015, Nomad Holdings completed the acquisition and renamed itself Nomad Foods. On November 2nd, Nomad Foods also announced the acquisition of the Swedish Findus Group for a purchase price of approximately £ 500 million . The company's growth strategy continues to include acquisitions in the food sector.

In January 2016, Nomad Foods switched from listing on the London Stock Exchange to the New York Stock Exchange .
