Martin Galliker

Martin Galliker (born December 24, 1973 ) is a former Swiss bobsleigh athlete .

He started bobsleigh in 2000 and joined the Swiss national team in 2005. At the 2006 Olympic Games he was a substitute pilot, but was not used. At the 2007 Bobsleigh World Cup , he finished eighth. He achieved his greatest success at the 2008 European Bobsleigh Championships . Together with the pushers Jürg Egger , Olexander Streltsov and Patrick Blöchliger he won the silver medal in the four. In August 2008 he was tested positive for testosterone in a doping control and was banned for two years. After his suspension, he started again in the European and World Cup from 2011 until he announced his resignation in March 2013.
