Martin Hannibal (medalist)

Martin Hannibal (* around 1704; † May 13, 1766 ) was a German coin, die cutter and medalist .

Martin Hannibal was the son of the die cutter Ehrenreich Hannibal , whose successor he was as die cutter at the mint in Clausthal from 1741 to 1758. He had learned his trade from the medalist Johann Karl von Hedlinger in Stockholm .

A medal signed M. Hannibal for the Battle of Dettingen (1743) is known from him.
