Ruth Koser-Michaëls
Ruth Koser-Michaëls (* 1896 ; † 1968 ) was a German draftsman who is best known for her illustrations for fairy tale books. She often worked with her husband Martin Koser (1903–1971).
life and career
Ruth Koser-Michaëls has developed a special drawing style. The first book of fairy tales she illustrated was that of the Brothers Grimm in 1937. This was followed by Andersen's fairy tales and illustrations for a book by Adelbert von Chamisso in 1938, Hauff's fairy tales in 1939 and Bechstein 's fairy tales in 1940 .
