Martin Meister (journalist)

Martin Meister (* in Holzminden ) is a German science journalist. From 2008 to 2015 he was editor-in-chief of GEO International and since April 2015 has headed the "Communication and Program Planning" department of the Körber Foundation in Hamburg.

Master studied biology and philosophy. He first went to Stern as an editor , before moving to GEO Wissen in 1990 . From 1997 he was "Managing Editor" at GEO, responsible for science and TV. From 2005 he was also "Managing Editor" for the knowledge magazine GEOkompakt, which he helped develop. As editor-in-chief for GEO International, he was responsible for up to 17 country editions for Europe, Asia and South America. Since 2015 he has been head of the "Communication and Program Planning" department at the Körber Foundation .
