Martin Parry

Martin Lewis Parry is a British climatologist .

He has been director of the Jackson Environment Institute at the University of East Anglia in Norwich since 1996 , and he is also a professor in the field of "Environmental Science". He is also a member of the scientific advisory board of the United Nations Environment Program . Parry was appointed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and was involved in the preparation of the fourth assessment report in 2007 as Co-Chair of Working Group II "Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability" .

For his research success Parry received the "Norbert Gerbier-Mumm International Award" of the World Meteorological Organization in 1993 and in 1998 was accepted as an officer in the Order of the British Empire .
