Martin Reiser

Martin Reiser , born in the 20th century, is a former German ice athlete .

Career

Martin Reiser comes from the Upper Bavarian Riessersee , where winter sports play an important role. The sports practiced there also include ice stock sport , in which the local ice sports club, SC Riessersee , played a leading role in the 1950s.

Martin Reiser and his brother Georg , who both became members of SC Riessersee, were also enthusiastic about ice stock sport . Because of their good performances, both came into the first team and took part in national and international competitions together with Hermann Ostler and Markus Schweiger . In this line-up, the SC Riessersee was European champion in ice stock sport in 1952, 1953 and 1954.

For these successes, Martin Reiser was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Theodor Heuss as a member of the German Ice Stock Team on February 19, 1956 .
