Martin Stock (* 1957 ) is a German biologist , nature photographer and conservationist . He works at the National Park Office for the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park .

Professional career

Stock was doing community service at the Wadden Sea protection station on Peterswarf in Hallig Langeness . He then studied biology and later did his doctorate in ecosystem research on brent geese in the Wadden Sea.

Even during his studies, Stock photographed the light moods of the tidal sea, which he was impressed by. He began his professional activity as a biologist at WWF in the Wadden Sea Area in Husum . He later moved to the national park administration, where he still works as a biologist and photographer.

Stock photographed in the Wadden Sea National Park. His photographs are used for public relations across the Wadden Sea. For several years now, his large-format Wadden Sea National Park calendar has been published every year . For his large public project "Wandel im Watt" he mobilized people who were enthusiastic about watts. For a year they were in action every day, always photographing the same subject at the same time.
