Martina Hofmann

Martina Hofmann (born April 4, 1975 in Biel ) is a Swiss soprano .

Life

Martina Hofmann studied singing with Jane Thorner Mengedoht at the Zurich University of Music , where she graduated with a teaching diploma and two concert diplomas in opera , lied and oratorio .

She then attended the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel and won prizes and grants from the Werner and Berti Alter Foundation and the Friedl Wald Foundation. She took master classes with Hildegund Lohmann-Becker , Jill Feldmann, Wolfgang Holzmair, Margherita Rinaldi, Marga Schiml and Bodil Gümoes.

Her repertoire ranges from early baroque to modern times and focuses on the lyric parts from opera and oratorio as well as song interpretation. Martina Hofmann teaches singing at the Glattal Cantonal School and the Pfannenstiel Youth Music School (Meilen) and directs the Choropax vocal ensemble in St. Gallen . She has appeared at events in Switzerland with the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Winterthur .

She lives in Winterthur .
