Marzanna Bogumiła Kielar

Marzanna Bogumiła Kielar (born February 8, 1963 in Gołdap ) is a Polish poet .

biography

Kielar is a graduate of the Philosophical Faculty of Warsaw University , a professor at the Special Education Academy in Warsaw and a scholarship holder of the European Cultural and University Foundation in Europe in the USA, Scandinavia and Asia. Her poems have been translated into 23 languages. She is a member of the Polish PEN Club and the Polish Writers' Union. Her texts were translated by Henryk Bereska and Karl Dedecius and published in the Muschelhaufen 2001, in the anthology It's Time to Change Clothes and in Karl Dedecius' selection “Poetry of the 20th Century”, included as one of the ten most important poets of her Generation.
