Masaaki Kanno ( Japanese 菅 野 将 晃 Kanno Masaaki ; born August 15, 1960 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.

Career

Kanno learned to play soccer on the Asahi High School school team . He signed his first contract with Furukawa Electric in 1979 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . In 1982 and 1986 he won the JSL Cup with the club . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1985/86 . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Furukawa Electric became JEF United Ichihara . For the club he completed 212 first division games. In 1994 he moved to the second division club Kyoto Purple Sanga . At the end of 1994 he ended his career as a football player.
