KK Masahiro ( Japanese 株式会社 マ サ ヒ ロ , Kabushiki kaisha Masahiro ) is a Japanese manufacturer of kitchen knives ( Hōchō ).

The company equal to its diameter series name, which consists of a known vanadium - molybdenum - alloy are manufactured. This results in a very strong and hard knife. The extreme resilience and the lack of temper embrittlement is due to the molybdenum. history

The company was founded in April 1932. In October 1948, registration as Masahiro Tankō KK ( 正 広 鍛工 株式会社 , "Masahiro metalworking") followed. 1958 began, together with the engineer Nishikiori / Nishigori ( 錦 織 ) and the Daidō Tokushukō KK ( 大同 特殊 鋼 株式会社 , "Daidō special steel"), the development of stainless kitchen knives. In 1962, the MSC high-carbon kitchen knife series was introduced . In 1972 the associated company Masahiro Hamono KK ( 正 広 刃 物 株式会社 , "Masahiro-Messerwaren") was founded. In 1952 the company was renamed to its current name.
