The DampfLandLeute-Museum Eslohe is a technical museum and local history museum in Eslohe , Sauerland .

It opened in 1981. The large exhibits include 14 steam engines , six locomotives and a diesel engine from Deutz . Living and working in the Sauerland is also shown. Above all the wood and metal handicrafts, but also the processing of slate and leather are documented.

Twice a month it is possible to travel on a field train on a circuit. The permanent exhibition “Let there be steam!” Has been running since October 2006.

Since 1987, the Christine Koch dialect archive, founded by Peter Bürger locally, has been affiliated with the museum, which is dedicated to the cultural memory of the Sauerland Platt with a focus on dialect literature .
