The massacres of Maratha, Santalaris and Aloda (Turkish: Muratağa, Sandallar ve Atlılar katliamı ) were perpetrated in 1974 by the Cypriot Greeks of EOKA-B against Cypriot Turks in Maratha, Santalaris and Aloda ( Turkish: Muratağa, Sandallar ve Atlılar ) during the Cyprus conflict .

In a mass grave not far from Maratha, 84/89 bodies of the victims of the massacre were found by the advancing Turkish army on September 2, 1974 . The number of victims was confirmed by Swedish officers of the UN mission . Before the attack, Maratha had 93 residents. A survivor of the massacre dated the attack on August 14, 1974. Since mass graves were found at the villages of Santalaris ( Turkish Sandallar ) and Aloda ( Turkish Atlılar ) (37 killed) at the same time as the mass grave was discovered in Maratha , these three massacres were found collectively referred to as the massacres of Maratha, Santalaris and Aloda (126 killed), for which August 14 was declared a memorial day in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus .
