Massdistraction is a Swedish thrash metal band from Malmö that was founded in 2007 under the name Retribution .
history
The band was founded in 2007 by the brothers Jon (electric guitar) and Per Hjalmarsson (electric bass) under the name Retribution. In 2009 the group renamed itself Massdistraction. In summer 2010 bassist Per Hjalmarsson left the band and was replaced by Kalle Möllerström. A few months later, Ali Nassadjpoor joined the band as a guitarist. As another new member, singer Mikkjal Hansen joined the band in May 2011, replacing Johan Hansson. In 2012 the debut album Follow the Rats followed via Rambo Music .
style
The band plays classic thrash metal comparable to Suicidal Angels , Exodus and the early works of Machine Head .
