Suicidal Angels is a Greek thrash metal - band .
history
The band was founded in 2001 in Athens and today consists of the drummer Orpheas Tzortzopoulos, the guitarist Gus Drax, the singer Nick Melissourgos and the bassist Angelos Lelikakis. Between 2002 and 2004 the band released three demos with United by Hate (2002), Angels' Sacrifice (2003) and The Calm Before the Storm (2004). In 2004 an EP followed with Bloodthirsty Humanity , which contains 8 songs. In 2006 the band released another EP called Armies of Hell , which was released under Evil Records, a Greek indie label , and contains four tracks.
A year later the band signed their first record deal with OSM Records and released their debut album Eternal Domination under this label. In the same year the band played with Rotting Christ on the Theogonia Balkans Tour 2007 . On this tour the band played in Slovenia , Serbia , Romania , Hungary , Bulgaria and Greece. In November 2007 the band also took part in the Reanimated Tour 2007 of the reunited band Massacre . On this tour, the band shared the stage with Denial Fiend and Extreme Noise Terror . In 2008 the band played with the British band Onslaught on the Horns Up Festival Tour .
Her second studio album Sanctify the Darkness (2009) was recorded in the Prophecy and Music Factory Studios of the Greek producer RD Liapakis in Germany. In the same year the band won the Rock the Nation Award . A video clip of Apokathilosis was also released. In 2010 the band played together with bands such as Belphegor , Darkest Hour and Kataklysm on their first European tour with performances in Sweden , Germany, Italy , Slovenia, the Netherlands , Denmark , Switzerland , the Czech Republic , Austria , Great Britain , France and Belgium .
The third studio album Dead Again was released on November 19, 2010 via NoiseArt Records , after the band had already switched to this label in August. The album was recorded again at RD Liapakis; the artwork is by Ed Repka . In November and December 2010 they toured with the US bands Exodus and Death Angel and the German band Kreator through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Three music videos were also released for the album: Bleeding Holocaust , Beggar of Scorn and Final Dawn , the latter video consisting of live recordings of the tour.
The fourth album Bloodbath was released again on January 27, 2012 via NoiseArt Records. This album was also created in the studios of RD Liapakis, while the artwork was again designed by Ed Repka. After the release, the European full-of-hate tour took place, on which the band played together with Legion of the Damned , Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse , among others . On January 11, 2013, the album Eternal Domination was released , which contains the two out of print EPs Bloodthirsty Humanity and Armies of Hell as a rerelease of the debut . The album Divide and Conquer was released on January 10, 2014, again on NoiseArt Records. A tour through Europe with Fueled by Fire , Lost Society and Exarsis followed. In the summer of 2014, several shows in Germany followed as the opening act for Sepultura . In February 2015 the band went on a European tour with Dr. Living Dead and Angelus Apatrida .
On May 27, 2016, the sixth album Division of Blood was released again via NoiseArt Records.
On August 9, 2019, the seventh album Years of Aggression was released , again via the NoiseArt Records label.
