Rock the Nation (abbreviated RTN ) is a concert and artist agency that specializes in metal and hard rock and is based in Salzburg , Austria . Since 1989, when company founder Stefan Hattinger brought metal shows to Austria, Rock the Nation has worked with greats such as Rammstein , Kiss , Faith No More , Motörhead , Nightwish , Slayer and many others.

history

The company goes back to a spontaneous idea of Hattinger's band at the time and the youth center and event location Alter Schlachthof in Wels . At the time, Hattinger was asked if his band would like to hold metal concerts there. So it came to the first self-organized concert together with Obituary , Morgoth and Demolition Hammer . Until 1993, numerous concerts were organized by Hattinger and his band as part of the Alter Schlachthof cultural association , until in 1994 they founded their own association called The Ape Limited . In the following two years, therefore, increasingly larger bands, including Slayer and Machine Head, were booked, and in 1996 a first festival was held, which attracted around 8,000 paying visitors. Around this time the decision was made to use the name Rock the Nation and there was a cooperation with Thomas Zsifkovits (now at Nova Music ) in order to be able to offer concerts all over Austria. A little later, however, the collaboration was ended again.

Service sector

Rock the Nation operates under the name rtn-touring as an international concert and artist agency . The company also acts as a festival tour organizer throughout Europe and also promotes bands in Austria and Slovenia .
