NoiseArt Records is an Austrian record label based in Salzburg . It belongs to the concert promoter Rock the Nation ( Metalcamp , Paganfest , Heidenfest ). The bands under contract with the label come from different subgenres of metal .
history
The first release of NoiseArt Records was in January 2010 the album Blutaar by the German pagan metal band Varg . Since then, albums by various European metal bands have appeared, including debut albums by young bands such as Steelwing , as well as releases by established groups such as Mercenary . The label's first album that made it into the German album charts was Wolfskult von Varg. This reached number 33 in the charts in March 2011. A few days earlier, the album Metamorphosis by the band Mercenary reached number 42 in the Danish charts.
Rock the Nation Award
Since 2009 Rock the Nation has been holding a band competition for young bands without a record deal . The winner receives a contract with NoiseArt Records, festival appearances and tours in Europe, as well as promotion in European music magazines. The prize is presented by various magazines, including Terrorizer , Metal Hammer (Spanish edition) and Rock Hard (Italian and Greek edition).
