Milking the Goatmachine is a German deathgrind band. The band was formed in 2008 by Goatleeb and Goatfreed Udder. It is essentially made up of Goatleeb Udder (vocals, drums, studio guitar) and Goatfreed Udder (guitar and studio bass). Live they are complemented by Tony Goatana (guitar) and Lazarus Hoove (bass). All band members use pseudonyms that have more or less to do with goats .
history
After the first shows the label Nuclear Blast became aware of the band and offered them a contract with their sub-label Anstalt Records. This was followed by the first album Back from the Goats (2009). Afterwards a lot of concerts and a European tour with Kataklysm among others were played. Shortly thereafter, Anstalt Records had to stop working for economic reasons and Milking the Goatmachine switched to the Austrian label NoiseArt Records . After further shows and festivals, the second album Seven ... A Dinner for One followed in 2010 and another European tour with u. a. Marduk . After this tour Tony Goatana left the band for private reasons. Lazarus Hoove switched to guitar and Steve Shedaway took over bass.
In 2011 the band released the album Clockwork Udder , which was a bit more Death Metal than the two previous albums . A tour with Eisregen and Varg and many club shows and festivals followed. In 2013 her fourth album Stallzeit was released . This album goes back more to the original style of Milking the Goatmachine and was voted one of the most important albums of 2013 by the readers of Metal Hammer . The band became known through appearances at festivals such as Summer Breeze and Party.San .
style
The music of Milking the Goatmachine is a mixture of elements of grindcore , thrash and death metal. When performing live the band appears with goat masks.
