Allauch is a French municipality with 21,187 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur .

Allauch is located between Marseille, twelve kilometers away, and Aubagne, thirteen kilometers away . The municipality consists of the following districts:
- Allauch-village (2006: 2594 inhabitants)
- Le Logis-Neuf (7224 inhabitants)
- La Pounche (3360 inhabitants)

- Pié d'Autry
Neighboring municipalities of Allauch are Mimet , Saint-Savournin (point of contact) and Cadolive in the north, Peypin in the northeast, Roquevaire in the east, Aubagne in the southeast, Marseille in the south and southwest and Plan-de-Cuques in the west.
history
In the 10th century the place was besieged by the Moors . The villagers were starving. But they pretended to the besiegers that they were okay, and they withdrew. Only a few ruins remain of the town's castle today; the Notre-Dame du Château chapel from 1148 still exists.
Before the French Revolution , three-quarters of Allauch's land was owned by the peasants, twenty percent by the nobility and bourgeoisie, but only three percent by the clergy.
