Location of the association of municipalities in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region

The Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Métropole in the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône , Var and Vaucluse the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It was founded on August 28, 2015 and comprises 92 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Marseille . A special feature is the cross-departmental structure of the municipalities.

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the predecessor organizations
