The Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de Martigues (CAPM) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It was founded on December 29, 2000 and comprised three parishes. The administrative seat was in Martigues .

Historical development

The community association was originally founded under the name Communauté d'agglomération Ouest de l'Étang de Berre (CAOEB). The name was changed on December 11, 2008.

With effect from January 1, 2016, the community association was integrated into the newly established Métropole d'Aix-Marseille-Provence .
