Master Limited Partnership

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Master Limited Partnership ( MLP ) is a corporate legal form created in the USA in 1987, a "type of limited partnership that is publicly traded". An MLP is similar in structure to a partnership limited by shares - KGaA, but they differ in terms of taxation . The original aim of the introduction of MLPs is to promote infrastructure projects in the USA, which promises domestic investors in the USA a tax break.
