Master of the Lamps

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Master of the Lamps is a music computer game that was developed in 1985 by the game company Activision for the Commodore 64 .

description

The player slips into the role of a young prince with a white thawb and a red keffiyeh in a far eastern country long before our time. There some Djins have escaped from their lamps and threaten to spread chaos. In order for the young prince to take his rightful rule, these Djins have to go back to their lamps. To do this, you have to win back their fragments (puzzle pieces).

The game is a combination of a skill game and a memory trainer. Most of the time you are on a magic carpet flying through a night sky. You have to maneuver accident-free within a tunnel made of colored diamonds. If you can make it to the end of the level, you'll have to play gongs from a musical sequence. If you don't manage this task, you start again at the beginning of the level. If you repeat the sequence of tones - given by a genie - without errors, you get a piece of a puzzle, which at the end results in a lamp.

Ports

The game was released for the following systems: Apple II , Amstrad CPC , Atari-8-bit and MSX
