Matías Vitkieviez (born May 16, 1985 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan - Swiss football player . He is usually used in right midfield or as a striker .
Career
In January 2013 he was loaned to Servette FC Genève before he switched to FC St. Gallen on loan for one season the following summer .
On February 23, 2012, Vitkieviez was called up by Ottmar Hitzfeld for the first time for the Swiss national football team, whereupon he came on a brief assignment in the friendly against Argentina.
From July 2014 he played for Young Boys Bern and was there three times in the league in the 2014/15 season. In July 2015 he returned to Servette Geneva.
