Mathías Callero , full name Mathías Nicolás Callero Rodríguez , (born February 25, 1992 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.83 meter tall defensive player Callero played 20 games in the Liga de Fútbol de Primera División in 2013 for the Costa Rican club Santos de Guápiles . In mid-September 2013 he moved to the then Uruguayan third division club Villa Española . He rose with the club in the 2013/14 season from the Segunda División Amateur to the Segunda División . There he ran 39 times in the league in the following two seasons and scored four goals. In the interim season of 2016, when Uruguayan football switched from the annual European system to year-bound seasons, promotion to the Primera Division followed. During the 2016 season he was used twelve times (no goal) in the Primera División . At the end of January 2017, he joined the Mexican club Celaya FC .
