Mathías Riquero , full name Mathías Damian Riquero Beretta , (born August 29, 1982 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.76 meter tall midfielder Riquero was at the beginning of his career from 2001 to 2003 inclusive in the ranks of the Villa Españolas team . In 2004 and 2005 he was a member of the Montevideo Wanderers squad . Across the seasons he made 39 appearances in the Primera División and scored two goals. In the first half of 2006 he ran in the 2005/06 season for the first division club Atlético Cerro in 16 league games and scored twice in the opposing goal. He then moved to Club Atlético Progreso for the two seasons 2006/07 and 2007/08 and completed 55 first division games during this period, in which he scored twelve goals. At least in February 2009 he was then active at Caxias in Brazil and was used three times (one goal) in the Campeonato Gaucho . From August 2009 to the end of June 2010, Liverpool Montevideo was his employer. For the club from Montevideo, he played 27 first division matches, in which he was listed four times as a goal scorer. From July 2010 a one-year engagement with Danubio FC followed . His usage statistics show a goal yield of two goals in 26 first division appearances there in the 2010/11 season. In July 2011, the Chilean club Deportivo Ñublense signed him . For the club from Chillán he appeared in 139 league games and scored 20 goals. He also ran twelve times (one goal) in the Copa Chile . He has continued his career at Deportes Iquique since mid-2015 . So far (as of March 11, 2017) there have been eleven hits in 48 premier league appearances for him. He also played once (no goal) in the 2017 Copa Libertadores .
