Mathias Franz-Stavenhagen

Mathias Franz-Stavenhagen (* 1953 ) was the head of the service at the magazine "TV Movie" as well as co-founder and later editor-in-chief of the magazine "TV Today".

Life

After studying German , history and political science , he first worked as a high school teacher. In 1985 and 1986, he took his first steps in the media industry with an internship at Frau im Spiegel magazine . As early as 1987 he became editor of "Frau im Spiegel". In the same year he began working as an editor for the magazine “At a Glance”, for which he worked until 1990. Until 1993, Franz-Stavenhagen was then head of the service and head of news for the television magazine "TV Movie". In 1994 he joined the television magazine "TV Today" as deputy editor-in-chief, which he had previously been involved in founding and building up. In 2004 he was promoted to editor-in-chief. In 2006, Lutz Carstens, editor-in-chief of TV Spielfilm, took over this position and from then on worked for both magazines. Since then, Franz-Stavenhagen has returned to teaching at the Sachsenwaldschule Reinbek and in 2009 led a multimedia theater group.
