Mathias Gauer

Mathias Gauer (* 1956 in Wismar ) is a German church musician .

Life

Gauer first studied theology in Friedensau and worked as a youth pastor in Saxony and Thuringia for two years. This was followed by studying church music at the church music school in Görlitz . After working as a church musician at the Heilig-Geist-Kirche in Dresden, he was appointed regional cantor in the Evangelical Choir Association of Lower Saxony-Bremen in 2003, where he was responsible for further training of choir directors, training in liturgical singing, choir festivals and sheet music editions. In 2015 Gauer moved to the Evangelical Church in Central Germany as a training manager for the Church Musician C course at the Center for Church Music in Erfurt and the EKM's Landessingwart.
