Sailors rest ( Russian Матросская тишина , Matrosskaya Tishina ) is the unofficial name of the Bundesanstalt " remand prison no. 1 of the Federal Prison Service of Russia in the city of Moscow " ( Федеральное казённое учреждение "Следственный изолятор № 1 Управления Федеральной службы исполнения наказаний России по городу Москве " ).

The name of the institution, which has existed since 1945, comes from the street of the same name (uliza Matrosskaja Tischina) in the Sokolniki district . Known inmates were the former Soviet defense minister Dmitri Yasov , the entrepreneur Mikhail Khodorkovsky , the politician Ivan Borissovich Mironov and the auditor Sergei Magnitsky .
