Matthias Eberl

Matthias Eberl (* 1975 in Munich ) is a German journalist.

Eberl works as a freelance journalist. After training at the German School of Journalism and studying journalism, he did his doctorate in ethnology at the LMU Munich . In 2009 Eberl was awarded the German Reporter Prize in the Network Report category. He is committed to the dissemination of the medium of audio slideshows .

Matthias Eberl works a. a. for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and mainly creates audio slide shows. In this form of presentation, a thematic, coherent sequence of images is underlaid with original sounds, as is the case with radio features . The reports are given a dramaturgy through the combination of images and original sounds.

Eberl leads courses on audio slideshows at German universities in Munich and Kiel as well as at journalists' academies in German-speaking countries - Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists, Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists , MAZ - The Swiss School of Journalism and Board of Trustees for Journalist Training .
