Matthias Georg Kendlinger

Matthias Georg Kendlinger (born December 5, 1964 in Walchsee , Tyrol, Austria) is an Austrian musician , conductor and composer .

Life

Kendlinger discovered his love for music through his father, who introduced the five-year-old to the accordion. In 1981 he was on stage for the first time. Until 1994 he was the leader of the “Alpina Quintet”. In 1994 Kendlinger founded a production and event agency in Kufstein. In 1998 he founded “Das Österreichische K&K Ballett”, in 2002 the “K&K Philharmoniker”, in 2003 the “K&K Opernchor” (also Ukrainian National Choir Lviv) and in 2016 the “K&K Symphoniker”, with which he organized the classical tours “Wiener Johann Strauss Concert Gala "," The Most Beautiful Opera Choirs "and the" K&K Symphony Concerts "realized.

Kendlinger was a co-founder of the “Tiroler Festspiele Erl” (1997), initiator and artistic director of the “Tiroler Beethoven Days” (2009–2015) and the “Ukrainian-Austrian Youth Orchestra Academy” (2013). In 2014 he opened his composing house in his native Schwendt. The autodidact made his debut as a conductor in 2004 at the Gewandhaus Leipzig . Since 2006 Kendlinger has also worked as a composer . In 2017 he launched a music festival in Lviv / Ukraine with exclusively his own compositions.

CD recordings and concert DVDs are regularly released under the labels “DaCapo Austria” and “K21” (Classical music of the 21st century).
