Matthias Stom or Stom (* about 1600 , † after 1652 ) was a Dutch painter of the Baroque in Messina . He is also known under the name Stohom .

Stomer was an apprentice to Gerrit van Honthorst , a Flemish painter in Messina. Stomer had been in Sicily since 1641. The painting “Adoration of the Child”, which hangs in the regional museum in Messina, is attributed to the painter Stomer by the Sicilian lawyer and historian Giuseppe Grosso-Cacopardo (1789 - 1858). In the Kunsthaus Zurich his painting "Christ and the Woman of Samaria" can be seen (in 1630), one of his few works outside Italy.
