Mattias Nylund

Mattias Nylund (born September 23, 1980 in Sundsvall ) is a Swedish football player .

career

Nylund started playing football at Söråkers IF . He came to the youth department of GIF Sundsvall through IFK Timrå . There he made his debut in the first team. In 1999 he moved on loan to SV Ried in Austria, but returned to Sweden after a season. In 2002 he switched to AIK Solna . There he only got eleven minutes of working time, so he switched back to GIF at the end of the season. In 2006 he moved to Norway to Aalesunds FK in the Adeccoligaen . As second in the table, he was promoted to the Tippeligaen . After the 2007 season he left Norway and returned to Sweden where he wanted to try his luck at Trelleborgs FF. After two years at Trelleborgs, he left the club with the start of the 2010 season and moved to league rivals GIF Sundsvall. There he played until May 2012 and then went to Division 3 to his youth club IFK Timrå.

International

Nylund played his only international game for Sweden on January 26, 2005 in a 0-0 draw against Mexico .

As a trainer

In December 2011, in addition to his active football career, Nylund coached the U-17 team at GIF Sundsvall .
