Mauri Uolevi Röppänen (born January 19, 1946 in Outokumpu ) is a former Finnish biathlete and marksman.

Röppänen won a silver medal with the 4 × 7.5 km biathlon relay at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo .

At the Biathlon World Championships in 1969 he won another bronze medal with the 4 × 7.5 km biathlon relay.

Röppänen took part in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and 1984 in Los Angeles as a marksman. In 1980 he finished fourth in the small-bore three-position battle. In 1981 Röppänen was world champion in the standing attack with the free rifle, in 1983 he won the three-position fight with the standard rifle. In 1987, together with Kalle Leskinen and Ralf Westerlund, he won the world championship title in the team competition in a three-position fight with a free rifle. At the European Championships in 1981 he won the title with the free rifle, in 1987 he was part of the victorious team in the three-position fight with the free rifle.
