Maurice Yvon

Maurice Yvon (born August 8, 1857 in Paris ; † January 28, 1911 there ) was a French architect .

Life

Yvon is the son of the battle painter Adolphe Yvon and attended the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and graduated with great success. He then found a job in the French Colonial Ministry.

In 1887 he designed the Villa Said for the writer Anatole France in Paris .

He designed the exhibition building for France for the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago . Seven years later, in 1900, Yvon constructed the pavilion for the French colonies for the World Exhibition in Paris .

Maurice Yvon died in Paris on January 28, 1911 at the age of 54.
