General Mauritz Leschly

Mauritz Leschly (born November 16, 1841 in Eckernförde , † December 29, 1930 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish officer .

On November 10, 1876, he married Julie Sophie Neergaard.

In 1860 he was promoted to lieutenant. In 1864 he took part in the German-Danish War . In 1890 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel. In 1895 he became Chief of Staff of the 2nd General Command in the General Staff . The Dannebrogorden was awarded to him as a knight on February 21, 1885. On April 29, 1896, he was accepted as an officer in the Legion of Honor . In 1897 he became chief of staff. On May 17, 1899 he was again awarded the Dannebrogden, this time as Commander 2nd Class. He was released from active service in 1911.
