Maurizio Canavari

Maurizio Canavari (born July 12, 1964 in Ancona ) is an Italian agricultural economist . He is Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics and Evaluation at the University of Bologna .

Life

Canavari studied at the universities of Bologna (agricultural sciences) and Padua (evaluation and agricultural economics in rural areas). After graduating in Bologna (1990) and serving in the military, he began his research activities in 1992 as a 2-year CNR scholarship holder. In 1994 he started his doctoral thesis in agricultural economics ( University of Padova ), with which he received his doctorate in 1997 at the University of Bologna.

In 1998 the University of Bologna appointed him to a researcher (assistant professor) position for agricultural economics. In 2005 he got the Associate Professor at the University of Bologna.

Canavari is married and has one son.

Canavari's research areas are agricultural marketing and market research , consumer behavior , quality standards , information and communication technology , as well as global warming and agriculture.

Memberships

Canavari is a member of the HAL - Hessian Academy of Research and Planning in Rural Areas .
