Maurstad monument
The Maurstad Memorial is a memorial to the Norwegian actor Alfred Maurstad (1896–1967) in Nordfjordeid in the Norwegian municipality of Stad .
It is located west of the town hall in Maurstad Park on Lotevegen, via which the European route 39 runs .
The memorial was created by sculptor Arnold Haukeland and erected in 1977. It shows Alfred Maurstad as a statue in the role of Peer Gynt . The statue stands on a stone pedestal.
On the front of the base is the inscription
" Alfred Maurstad
1896–1967 "
appropriate.
