Okány is a Hungarian community in the county Sarkad in Békés county .
Geographical location
Okány is located seven kilometers southeast of the city of Vésztő , on a dead arm of the Sebes-Körös River . Neighboring municipalities are Körösújfalu , Sarkadkeresztúr and Zsadány .
