Kötegyán is a Hungarian community in the county Sarkad in Békés county .
Geographical location
Kötegyán is a good five kilometers east of the city of Sarkad and two kilometers from the border with Romania . The Gyepes Main Canal ( Gyepes-főcsatorna ) flows through the southern part of the municipality . The neighboring municipality is Méhkerék .

Kötegyán can only be reached via the side road No. 42152. Via the train station to the north of the municipality, it is connected to the railway line from Békéscsaba to Vésztő . There is also a rail connection to Salonta in Romania.
