The Sebes-Körös forms a natural border with the Komádi municipality in Hajdú-Bihar County . Körösújfalu borders on the following municipalities:

On the southern edge of Körösújfalu the road no. 4222 runs. The place was on the Gyoma – Körösnagyharsány (127) railway line of the MÁV , which was closed on December 13, 2009 for cost reasons, so that travelers now have to use the train station in Vésztő.
