Mawlānā

Mawlānā or Mewlana ( Turkish Mevlana , Arabic مولانا Maulana  'our Lord, our Master') is a religious title for respected Islamic scholars or religious heads, who are mostly graduates of a madrasa or another Islamic school. It is mainly found in Central and South Asia and is usually carried as a title before the actual name.
