Anke Geißler (born April 29, 1970 in Leipzig ) is a German cabaret artist .

Live and act

Geissler was a member of the Leipzig Children's Radio Choir from 1978 to 1984. From 1984 she gained her first experiences in student cabaret. While she was still training as a crèche teacher, Geißler joined the Leipziger Funzel, where she was a member of the ensemble until 1990. Anke Geißler has been working as an actor, assistant director, dramaturge and occasionally as a writer at the Cabaret academixer in Leipzig since 1991. In 1993 she appeared as a guest at the Leipziger Pfeffermühle cabaret . Since 2002 she has been increasingly active as a soloist, playing, singing, writing and producing. In 2002 she was the speaker at a performance of the Christmas goose Auguste by the MDR Symphony Orchestra and the MDR Children's Choir imInvolved in the Gewandhaus in Leipzig . In 2008 she hosted the "Great Jürgen Hart Satire Matinee" in the Centraltheater Leipzig together with Lothar Bölck. In 2009 Geißler was a guest at the Great MDR Lachmesse Gala. In 2011 "Won" Best of was resumed.
