Max Eyth School

history

Classes originally took place mainly in the evening. From 1943 to 1945 it had the status of a fully developed vocational school . After the Second World War it was reopened in 1946; In 1965 the company moved to a new building in Sprendlingen. The first year of the vocational high school started school in 1974. The first classes of the vocational school followed three years later . The first year of the technical college began in 2003. The new building of the campus house of lifelong learning was opened in 2009. The school now offers training in the areas of business , IT , mechatronics , medicine , nutrition , housekeeping and personal care .

School types

Vocational high school

In the vocational high school of the Max-Eyth-Schule, the main subjects biology technology , computer science ( data processing ), mechatronics and economics are offered. Pupils who have not yet started a second foreign language learn Spanish in the vocational high school.

Technical college

In the two-year technical college (Form A), the focus is on computer science (information technology), business informatics, mechanical engineering, chemical / physical technology, business and administration as well as health.

Students who have completed vocational training, the technical college with the same focus also on the one-year technical college achieve (Form B).

Vocational schools

The Max-Eyth-Schule offers three types of vocational school:

  • Two-year higher vocational school specializing in foreign language secretariat: It requires an intermediate degree and offers full-time vocational training.
  • One-year higher vocational school : Aimed at pupils who want to get to know the essentials of business and administration. A qualification in this type of school can be credited in certain training occupations and shorten the training there by one year.
  • Two-year vocational school : requires a good secondary school leaving certificate and ends with an intermediate qualification. It is offered in the fields of business and administration , metal technology and medical-technical / nursing .

Vocational training courses

In the vocational training courses, the transition to other courses and employment relationships is made easier for pupils. This includes the career orientation year, InteA and PuSch B.

Innovative production school (! PS)

In the project, young adults are led to an apprenticeship or other employment subject to social insurance. The school is run in cooperation with the school for adults and supported by the Offenbach district and the Sparkasse Langen-Seligenstadt.

Educational offers

Self-learning center

Since 2009, schoolchildren have been able to do their homework at 42 workstations in the self-study center and study with classmates. The PC workstations are complemented by an interdisciplinary range of individual e-learning software. There is also a branch of the Dreieich city library on site, which enables the local media to be borrowed.

International Relations

For apprenticeships and vocational high school, the Max-Eyth-Schule maintains relationships with training institutions in the USA, Spain and Malta.
