Max Barduleck

Friedrich Johannes Maximilian “Max” Barduleck (* 1846 in Dresden ; † 1923 ibid) was a German engraver and medalist in the Kingdom of Saxony who signed his works with “MB”.

Life

Max Barduleck was born on November 15, 1846, the only son of the Dresden gold and silver engraver Friedrich Wilhelm Barduleck. From 1860 to 1865 he attended the Dresden Art Academy while training as an engraver with his father.

Max Barduleck remained single and died in Dresden in 1923 as a retiree.

Act

  • 1865: Employment at the Royal Mint in Dresden .
  • 1867: The only remaining engraver of the coin with the title of auxiliary engraver.
  • 1871: Promotion to the Royal Saxon Coin Engraver.
  • 1911: The medalist and die cutter retires after having cut and modeled the officially minted Saxon medals and coins for 40 years.
